Questions Addressed:

  • What symptoms does the supplement 5htp address?
  • Is CBD oil recommended as a therapy for neurological symptoms?
  • Is it safe to take if I am also taking Parkinson’s medications?
  • I have tightening in muscles in my arms and shoulders which  makes it difficult to breathe while walking. Has anyone had success  dealing with this problem?
  • I am taking mars venus superfood with minerals and detox lemonade. Has anyone  had success with this protocol?
  • Had anyone ever tried near infrared saunas with any success for Parkinson’s symptoms?
  • Please explain and compare the advantages of three therapies: Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy (BEMER), photobiomodulation (Vielight) and Biontology.
  • I have problems sticking with a program of recovery that is helping me feel better. Have you witnessed this type of cycle? Please provide insights in how to getting past this.
  • Why does Parkinson’s progress in many Parkinson’s patients? Is it psychological or is there an underling disease mechanism at play?

Laser Therapy

Click the arrow below to hear my interview with Dr. Gair that discusses laser therapy as treatment for Parkinson’s and other conditions:

Dr Gair, my guest on Parkinsons Recovery Radio today,  shared the exciting research that reports how cold laser therapy can be beneficial for patients with Parkinson’s in various stages of the disease. Cold laser therapy, also known as “photobiomodulation”, is beneficial by:

  • Stimulating improved function of the mitochondria
  • Stimulating neuronal stem cells, increased ATP production
  • Increasing brain derived neurotrophic factor
  • Dampening inflammation
  • Promoting nitric oxide and glutathione production
  • Modulating immune activity

The best thing about the therapy is that when the appropriate laser is used there are virtually zero side effects. It can be part of a program of functional neurological rehabilitation under the care of a trained professional or can also be done at home by the patient on a regular basis. This therapy can also be used preventatively in patients with a genetic predisposition for the disease as well.

The laser device requires a prescription from a doctor. It is best if you find a doctor in your area to get a series of initial treatments to see if this can be a successful therapy for you. The list of doctors who have been trained to use the laser therapy can be found on www.erchonia.com

The device, XLR8, uses two laser diodes and was developed by Erchonia, a leader in developing low level laser technology as treatment for various medical conditions.

If you have received laser treatments in the doctor’s office and found it to be helpful, you may decide to purchase a unit. It is expensive, retailing for $11,000 at this time. There is a $1000 discount if, when ordering, you tell the Erchonia agent your have been referred by Parkinsons Recovery.

Again. I recommend that you get some initial treatments from a qualified doctor before deciding to purchase a unit for home use.   www.erchonia.com

Photobiomodulation (Light) Therapy for Parkinson’s

After listening to this interview, I am even more optimistic about this therapy for Parkinson’s and other conditions, especially mental fog and dementia. Be sure to listen to my interview with Dr. Lim. I believe he is a true pioneer in inventing the medicine of the future.

Neurons are cells that contain mitochondria. Photobiomodulation energizes neuronal mitochondria, triggering a cascade of beneficial cellular functions. Potential benefits are neuroprotective effects, self-repair mechanisms and enhanced function.

Vielights patented intranasal stimulation technology and microchip LED technology is an innovative tool for brain photobiomodulation invented by Dr. Lew Lim, my guest on Parkinsons Recovery Radio today. Intranasal photobiomodulation is the most efficient method for light energy to reach the brain. Different from electrical and magnetic stimulation, photobiomodulation uses light energy (or photons) of specific wave lengths and power density to simulate cellular function.

Dr. Lim is an engineer and a Doctor of Natural Medicine with additional diplomas in Medical Neuroscience and Business and Accountancy. He obtained his degrees and diplomas from the University of California at Berkeley, University of Sheffield, Duke University, Quantum University and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

A 2015 study using subjects with dementia found there was significant improvement after 12 weeks of use involving increased function, better sleep, fewer angry outbursts and less anxiety. These encouraging results have been followed by a series of ongoing studies.

The company, Vielight, has generously offered followers of Parkinsons Recovery a 10% discount off orders of the Vielight Neuro Gamma which retails for $1749. Enter the coupon code healing4me on the shopping cart. The website: www.vielight.com
